Selling via "Name Your Price"
Selling to members who name their own price is essentially the
same as the conventional selling process except you are not
determining the price or quantity of the product being sold.
Instead, you are able to see the specific needs of your
potential customers at the price and quantity they are willing
to accept. One important note to be aware of: all responses to
'Name Your Price' listings will automatically be increased by
the freight charges incurred based upon the origin and
destination zip codes. Depending on the buyer's location,
freight costs may place your product "out of reach" of the
buyer. Even if this is the case, you can make the offer and
specify the time limit on it. The buyer then has the option of
accepting your offer even though it is above the price he
requested. So, you have nothing to lose by offering your product
at a higher price than he is asking.
